As of March 2020, France is confined. The days become long, eternal... Deprived of concerts and contact with the outside world, I install my sound in my veranda, sing and write, I return to some texts abandoned in some corner, new ideas appear and also new songs inspired by that new, different peacefulness, which invites deep reflection ...
Thanks to the Kengo Mutual Aid Platform I started a crowdfunding which bared its fruits in September 2020.
That's how "The Other Side" was born... . " All the songs will be recorded as my inspiration dictates to me and each musical intervention will merge with my universe, the perfect alchemy...... Thank you to the musicians, for being present in the moments that matter, to Thierry Lede for his talent and generosity and to my loyal followers who supported this project designed and produced in the most intimate introspection."
Production and direction : Barbara Luna with the participation of Mario Siperman (Los Fabulosos Cadillacs), Julien Tekeyan, Jean M'Ba Guema (Higelyn, Calypso Rose, Jhero), Francis Varis, Gustavo Roca etc....
In 2016 her second independent album "Hijos del Sol" was released. Elegant and festive, the compositions fuse urban tango with jazz, pop and current sounds, with the imprint of an artist who is inspired by many registers.
Recorded between Buenos Aires, Paris and Brittany, under the direction of Jean M'Ba Guema (Higelyn, Calypso Rose, Jhero).
Among her collaborators : Steve Shehan, universal and eclectic musician (Paul Simon, Alain Stevel), an original musical palette with a lot of rhythm, "Hijos del Sol" receives recognition from the first listen.
In 2009 she released her first independent album « Ruta Tres » this adventure one of the most successful since its inception concentrates all those influences long studied and perfectly assimilated, to the point that the meeting with Raul Paz seems very natural.
Like the path from which it takes its name, her compositions travel through the multiple Argentine musical landscapes: inspired both by urban fevers , by the calm of the spaces of infinite horizons, by the tensions of the neighbourhood as well as by the landscapes along with climates in the antipodes and the life that changes as it progresses.
Bárbara Luna took advantage of her meeting with Raúl Paz to explore her hidden side. Pop accents are more present and she is pleased to dive deep into this musical universe.

At the end of 2006 she recorded in Atenas " Live " , a lively music, rich in personality and emotion, a live show that testifies to the generosity, sensitivity of Barbara through her songs and her total commitment to the benefit of the public. ..
With « Somos », between tango, jazz and salsa she continues in her creations investigating this elegant acoustic mix acclaimed by connoisseurs, where tradition meets contemporary sounds. A generous singer with an amazing charisma, she explores the African and Amerindian roots of Argentine music. Roots that she has made her own through a miscegenation that she assumes with full joy and that invites us to share, affirming "what we are".

« A La Vida y A La Muerte » traces an initiatory and innovative journey by creating a link between the Latin poles of her native Argentina to the Creole Caribbean. In eleven tracks of tango in salsa, of milonga in candombe, from the unspeakable to the unpredictable, the beautiful volcanic, warrior, a naked the soul in each sentence ... with a sensitivity to the surface of the skin. From one theme to the other her voice swings in the tempo of salsa, wraps in a bolero, in a languid tango or springs from an armada of drums in an urban and tribal rumba.
« Latina, feline, a Barbarella from the other hemisphere to bewitch you until you lose the... South!". Remy Kolpa Kopoul. (Paris 1998)
